4 September 2021 Hagan Ace Hardware – Orchid Re-Potting Clinic

The next Jacksonville Orchid Society Re-Potting Clinic will be held Saturday, 4 September 2021 at the Ace Hardware at 12501 San Jose Blvd in Mandarin.

It’s now late Summer and the rains have arrived. Although not apparent, your orchids already know that Fall is just around the corner and it’s getting close to your last opportunity to repot your orchids. Not all orchids need to be repotted at this time, but we can advise you regarding which ones can be re-potted now, and for which ones you should wait. We can also advise about the health of your orchids as well. Join us at the re-potting clinic and let’s discuss preparing your orchids for the warmer weather ahead.

Beginners and New members! Here’s an opportunity to “learn by doing” if you’ve ever had questions about potting orchids. Challenge members of the Jacksonville Orchid Society with your tough orchids and questions.

This is NOT a re-potting service but instead a clinic intended to teach members and the public how to repot their own orchids. With that in mind, please bring no more than 5 orchids per individual.

The first Saturday of the month from February through December, Jacksonville Orchid Society members are available to talk with you, answer questions and help you re-pot your orchids. We will be at the Ace Hardware at 12501 San Jose Blvd. (see https://goo.gl/maps/ve7x2zAgJRrZwnTd8) in Jacksonville from 10 am until 1 pm. Plan on joining us afterwards, when we’ll adjourn for lunch at the local Sonny’s BBQ.

In addition, Ace usually has a special orchid sale with big discounts on orchids and orchid supplies and bigger discounts on out of bloom orchids. Don’t miss it!
